Hawthorne Valley Farm, a Demeter-certified biodynamic CSA farm, is located at 327 County Road 21C, Ghent, NY 12075, Columbia County in the upper-Hudson Valley. Hawthorne Valley Farm is a 400-acre farm, comprised of pastures, fields, woodlands, and a 12–acre market garden. The commercial and production facilities of the farm are nestled in the hamlet of Harlemville.
"We have forged a special relationship with members of the community and with those who support our farm and our farming practices. Membership in our Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) means receiving a share of the weekly garden harvest of Hawthorne Valley Farm. It also means coming to know and understand the life of this particular farm and supporting the farmers in their efforts to grow healthy, nutritious food in a way that is environmentally responsible."
The rewards of CSA membership are great. Learning to eat seasonally, cooking and preserving new and interesting vegetables, celebrating the growing season through special membership events on the farm, and most of all, coming to feel a sense of connection with your local farmer.
The farm store carries a full line of organic fruit and vegetables year-round; and during the growing season, we have produce from the farm, as well as other local growers. Hawthorne Valley Farm itself produces organic (biodynamic) vegetables, which are sold in the store and at the Union Square and Inwood green markets.

The Hudson-Chatham Winery is located at 1900 State Route 66, Ghent, New York, 12075. This exciting new winery, which specializes in small hand-made batches of wine, is dedicated to the richness of the Hudson River Valley, particularly its wine, agriculture, literature, art, history, and many other attractions that make it a rich and special region. The Hudson-Chatham Winery, located between the historic towns of Hudson and Chatham, is the first winery in Columbia County.
As well as creating fine artisanal wines, the DeVito family (including two dogs), and many valued friends, have worked hard restoring the winery’s grounds and its prestigious circa 1780 farmhouse. The winery features hand-crafted wines, cheeses and desserts, and includes vineyard tours and a gazebo with scenic views.
