Tuckahoe High School
In 2012 we added four new AP courses to our offerings: government, chemistry, psychology, and art. We also have a new debate club and are bringing back the THS newspaper, The Tiger's Roar. Our strong academic emphasis is only one aspect of our school which helps students develop socially and emotionally as they prepare for college and career opportunities. Our experienced staff takes advantage of our small size and works to counsel and motivate each student toward individual success. As a result, we experienced a dramatic increase in regents mastery in 2011-12. THS is a learning community that both holds students to high expectations and allows for individualized growth and development.
Despite our small size, THS still offers a variety of AP courses and electives that provide our students a wide range of classes. As a result, THS students are annually admitted to top colleges and compete among Westchester County's best academically, in the arts, and in athletics. In addition to our wonderful sports program, there are many extra curricular clubs and activities that appeal to a wide variety of student interests.

About Eastchester Middle School
Eastchester Middle School (EMS) is located in a small middle and upper-class commuter town in the heart of Westchester County. It is set alongside the historic Post Road, only a few miles from New York City. With a population of 18,400 this suburban town reflects the culture of Early America and Western Europe, especially the Italian culture. The most recent immigration is from Asia, primarily Japan.
There are 734 students enrolled in grades six, seven, and eight at EMS. The Middle School building is comprised of two, two-storied wings that are adjacent to our high school building complex. The original wing was built in 1955. Another wing, added in 1958, is shared with the high school. The building complex is surrounded by well tended grounds. Major building renovations over the well maintained auditorium is made available to our students, 55% of whom participate in our selective band, choral or drama programs. Tuckahoe High School
In 2012 we added four new AP courses to our offerings: government, chemistry, psychology, and art. We also have a new debate club and are bringing back the THS newspaper, The Tiger's Roar. Our strong academic emphasis is only one aspect of our school which helps students develop socially and emotionally as they prepare for college and career opportunities. Our experienced staff takes advantage of our small size and works to counsel and motivate each student toward individual success. As a result, we experienced a dramatic increase in regents mastery in 2011-12. THS is a learning community that both holds students to high expectations and allows for individualized growth and development.
Despite our small size, THS still offers a variety of AP courses and electives that provide our students a wide range of classes. As a result, THS students are annually admitted to top colleges and compete among Westchester County's best academically, in the arts, and in athletics. In addition to our wonderful sports program, there are many extra curricular clubs and activities that appeal to a wide variety of student interests.

Team meetings amongst teachers provide time for the staff to discuss the progress of individual students, plan curriculum and interdisciplinary projects as well as consult with support staff. Each house works to create bonds between students and staff and amongst students.
Personalization at the high school was also one of the goals behind the extensive renovations and addition undertaken at Mamaroneck High School. The high school strives to create ways for students to make connections, be it through academic engagement, the arts, extracurricular activities and/or athletics. The new facilities offer students more places to gather and meet in groups formally and informally in the middle of a very large campus and give them easier access to support staff of counselors, school psychologist and a student activities coordinator.
Academically, the high school offers some interesting electives in addition to the usual Regents and Advanced Placement courses. A fairly new science elective is called "Criminalistics". It focuses on the use of the sciences of biology, chemistry and physics in crime solving. The "Art of Film" class teaches students to discover new ways to look at film. They see films, read scripts, biographies and critical commentaries as well as write their own critical and analytical paper on an individual filmmaker. The study of Chinese within the Foreign Language department engages many students who continue to pursue their study of Chinese in college and beyond. Chinese is a five year course sequence beginning in middle school. Students learn oral and written language skills and many are able to join their teacher on a two-week trip to China before they graduate.

Southern Westchester BOCES "Central Administration" is located at 17 Berkley Drive, Rye Brook, NY 10573 in Westchester County. The Southern Westchester Board of Cooperative Educational Services (SW BOCES) was established in 1948 by the New York State Commissioner of Education and the Board of Regents to provide shared educational and management services to schools and school districts in our geographic region. From those beginnings, SW BOCES has grown to offer hundreds of cooperative, cost-efficient services to school districts in the region, encompassing 187 different schools, 104,000 students, and more than 650,000 adults who live and work here.
Special Act Districts
are created by separate and special acts of the New York State Legislature. These districts provide unique educational and therapeutic opportunities to students who have experienced difficulty or failure in previous school settings. Our seven Centers provide an array of more than 70 services to help school districts, teaching and administrative professionals, students, and the public with needs in the areas of special education, career and technical education, transportation, interscholastic athletics, adult and community services, technology, and professional development. About Eastchester Middle School
Eastchester Middle School (EMS) is located in a small middle and upper-class commuter town in the heart of Westchester County. It is set alongside the historic Post Road, only a few miles from New York City. With a population of 18,400 this suburban town reflects the culture of Early America and Western Europe, especially the Italian culture. The most recent immigration is from Asia, primarily Japan.
There are 734 students enrolled in grades six, seven, and eight at EMS. The Middle School building is comprised of two, two-storied wings that are adjacent to our high school building complex. The original wing was built in 1955. Another wing, added in 1958, is shared with the high school. The building complex is surrounded by well tended grounds. Major building renovations over the well maintained auditorium is made available to our students, 55% of whom participate in our selective band, choral or drama programs. The availability of four gymnasiums, as well as several athletic fields, provide our students with the opportunity to participate in a strong interscholastic and intramural athletic program.

The Scarsdale Public Schools district is located at 2 Brewster Road, Scarsdale, NY 10583 in Westchester County. The Scarsdale Union Free School District is located in Scarsdale, NY, a northern suburb of New York City. The District consists of a high school, a middle school, and five elementary schools. Student performance is unusually strong. On standardized tests and state examinations at every level, Scarsdale student achievement is typically among the very strongest in region, state and nation. Such measures reflect the quality of teaching and learning in Scarsdale.
Each of the five elementary schools provides an education whose aim is to promote achievement and intellectual challenge, but within a clearly child-centered environment. Each school maintains a special relationship with its neighborhood as well as a unique character and traditions. Students are asked to participate actively as writers, historians, problem-solvers, scientists. There is a strong and lively arts program.
The Middle School has long recognized the special character of pre-adolescent youngsters by providing a strong preparation in smaller communities or "houses" that promote close relationships and learning. So that teachers will know their students as people as well as intellects, they work with overall loads of no more than 100 students. House counselors also know each student and maintain communication between school and home.
The High School is known nationally and internationally for its independent, self-motivated students and faculty. High expectations translate into a college-like experience and atmosphere, but the School program has been planned carefully to support the particular needs of young adults. The school has never abandoned traditional standards or swung with educational fashion; rather, program and teaching have evolved thoughtfully over time. The quality of discourse is high, and students are highly motivated to learn.

The Tuckahoe Middle School

Tuckahoe High School
In 2012 we added four new AP courses to our offerings: government, chemistry, psychology, and art. We also have a new debate club and are bringing back the THS newspaper, The Tiger's Roar. Our strong academic emphasis is only one aspect of our school which helps students develop socially and emotionally as they prepare for college and career opportunities. Our experienced staff takes advantage of our small size and works to counsel and motivate each student toward individual success. As a result, we experienced a dramatic increase in regents mastery in 2011-12. THS is a learning community that both holds students to high expectations and allows for individualized growth and development.
Despite our small size, THS still offers a variety of AP courses and electives that provide our students a wide range of classes. As a result, THS students are annually admitted to top colleges and compete among Westchester County's best academically, in the arts, and in athletics. In addition to our wonderful sports program, there are many extra curricular clubs and activities that appeal to a wide variety of student interests.

New York State Report Cards for Westchester County
"The New York State District Report Card is an important part of the Board of Regents’ effort to raise learning standards for all students. It provides information to the public on the district’s status and the status of schools within the district under the State and federal accountability systems, on student performance, and on other measures of school and district performance. Knowledge gained from the report card on a school district’s strengths and weaknesses can be used to improve instruction and services to students. State assessments are designed to help ensure that all students reach high learning standards. They show whether students are getting the knowledge and skills they need to succeed at the elementary, middle, and commencement levels and beyond. Southern Westchester BOCES "Central Administration" is located at 17 Berkley Drive, Rye Brook, NY 10573 in Westchester County. The Southern Westchester Board of Cooperative Educational Services (SW BOCES) was established in 1948 by the New York State Commissioner of Education and the Board of Regents to provide shared educational and management services to schools and school districts in our geographic region. From those beginnings, SW BOCES has grown to offer hundreds of cooperative, cost-efficient services to school districts in the region, encompassing 187 different schools, 104,000 students, and more than 650,000 adults who live and work here.

Our seven Centers provide an array of more than 70 services to help school districts, teaching and administrative professionals, students, and the public with needs in the areas of special education, career and technical education, transportation, interscholastic athletics, adult and community services, technology, and professional development. In addition, our Human Resources department sponsors a Regional Career Fair and provides a Regional Certification Service. Special Act Districts
Created by separate and special acts of the New York State Legislature, these districts provide unique educational and therapeutic opportunities to students who have experienced difficulty or failure in previous school settings. Special act districts are located on the grounds of residential child-care facilities licensed by the Department of Social Services. Although they primarily serve a residential population, special act schools also accept referrals of day students who are experiencing similar psychological, educational, or physical disabilities. The Blythedale School District in Valhalla serves students with severe physical disabilities who are in residence at Blythedale Children's Hospital. All other special act schools serve students with severe emotional disabilities who may be victims of neglect or abuse, or may have histories of delinquency or social maladjustment. Curriculum meets all state requirements for students ages five to 21. Guidance services, family and individual counseling, and psychological and psychiatric services are extensive. Students learn in accredited high schools to earn Regents, local, or GED alternative diplomas, and participate in vocational and work-study programs. Special Act Districts include:

It is within an hour’s drive from Columbia University, New York University and Fordham University, and is surrounded by numerous institutions of higher education. The Greenburgh Central 7 is located at 475 West Hartsdale Ave, Hartsdale, NY 10530 in Westchester County.
Greenburgh Central 7 encompasses the unincorporated portion of the Town of Greenburgh and is composed of Hartsdale, a portion of White Plains and several streets in Elmsford
with a total area of 8 square miles and with a population of approximately 20,000 residents. The Greenburgh Central 7 main campus is built on the former Felix Warburg family estate known as "Woodlands". The Mansion along with 150 acres of land were deeded to the school district in 1958 by Frieda Schiff Warburg. The original Mansion is used as the district's Administration building.

Greenburgh Central School District No. 7 is a school district with a diverse student body.
